Canna Indica (Indian Shot)
Indian shot is originally from Central America. The leaves are wide and green or purplish-green. The flowers gather together in inflorescences of red, orange, yellow or pink. The fruits are elliptical or globe-shaped capsules, chestnut in colour, with a large quantity of black, very hard seeds.
The starch from this plant is easily digested and the flour, in Colombia, is used to make bread, cakes or noodles.
