🐍 Snakes control rodent and insect pests, which could reproduce disproportionately and upset the food chain or destroy crops.
🦇 Most bats are frugivorous and prefer to eat pollen from flowers, fruit, or insects rather than bite humans! There are only three species, vampires, that feed on animal blood.
🐾 Lemurs protected homes from nocturnal spirits in Roman mythology, communicating at night with loud ghostly sounds while their eyes reflected the moonlight.
