Their faces are generally black in colour, surrounded by whiskers. It has sacs in its cheeks which enable it to forage and store food to be ingested at a later time.
The fur is grey or light yellow-olive colour with whitish lower areas. They are highly social animals, travelling in small groups and are one of the few species that have various groups of males. To display their hierarchy, more or less high-ranking males place their tails in vertical position and walk around in front of other males. This species is very widespread and has no great threats.
