Brown Lemur

Of extremely variable colour, the brown or Mayotte lemur generally has a dark face with pale patches on the ckeeks. 

Adaptable to different forest habitats, it feeds on a wide range of fruits, flowers, leaves and sap. It lives in groups which often change from 3 to 12 individuals; each member cover him or herself with urine in order to be recognised through smell. The size and composition of the groups frequently vary.
